Move over, Picasso, apparently museums from around the world are collecting worn pussy hats from 2017’s Women’s Marches for various exhibits — and The New York Times wants to know what you plan on doing with yours.

“Over the past year, museums from Michigan to New York to London have begun acquiring pink ‘pussy hats’ for their collections. Did you wear a ‘pussy hat’ during one of the women’s marches last year? What have you done with it since?” an authorless the Times article asks in the paper’s opinion section Thursday.

The article prompts readers to fill out an online questionnaire. Women who answer the call to action might hear from an editor about a potential story.

On top of basic contact information, some of the questions the Times asks include whether the pussy hat has “pride of place somewhere, or is it in the back of a closet?”

The idea of dozens of Brooklyn living rooms displaying the hats doesn’t strike most people as the most traditional centerpiece, however, the Times must think there are enough people out there who have slightly different interior design taste.

One question asked if pussy hat owners have “found a practical use for” the hat, such as keeping your cat’s “ears warm.” It’s unclear whether the felines in question have granted consent to such humiliation.

Readers can even send a photo of their hat and “where it lives” to the Times using the online submission form.

In the midst of their solicitation, the Times’ opinion section neglected to mention that the infamous pussy hat is now a symbol of derision for many feminists. A Detroit Free Press report on Thursday quoted several left-wing activists who believe the hat is exclusionary and “offensive to transgender women and gender binary people who don’t have typical female genitalia and to women of color because their genitals are more likely to be brown than pink.”

The Daily Caller New Foundation could not locate any homemade phallus-shaped or brown pussy hats after a quick search on Etsy.
