Verified Twitter is angry that President Donald Trump had the nerve to clap for himself when lines from his State of the Union address led to applause from the crowd.
According to these Twitter hot takes, Trump clapping for himself was just proof of his narcissism.
For someone who is supposed to be TV savvy, Trump seems unaware of how annoying it is to have him clap at his own applause lines.

Paul Kane, a congressional reporter for The Washington Post, admitted that the clapping was a “trivial” issue, but still wanted to know if he could get an official count on the number of times Trump clapped.
This is trivial, I realize. But can someone pull a @markknoller here and gives us a Trump clap count? Seriously, I hardly remember another POTUS clapping. This guy has biggest clap ever.

A Gizmodo blogger insisted that Trump, “sees people clapping and thinks, ‘Okay, it’s clap time I did good.'”
No really, Trump sees people clapping and thinks, “Okay it’s clap time I did good.”

Why does constantly Trump clap for himself?

I love how Trump strategically applauds close to the mic so his clap is the best clap. #SOTU
