MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace denied that President Barack Obama got any special treatment from the media during his presidency.
WATCH:
Wallace pointed to a tweet by Michael McFaul, a former ambassador under Obama, calling out Sean Hannity for pushing “exactly the whataboutism argument Putin’s TV channels make.”
Caught @seanhannity at the gym tonight. Didn’t know he was taking about American alleged interference in other countries’ elections as an excuse for Russia violating our sovereignty. That’s exactly the whataboutism argument Putin’s tv channels make. Exactly.

Wallace claimed that the difference between President Trump’s and President Obama’s relationships with the media is that Trump has a cheerleader in Fox News. She argued that Obama never had an equivalent to Fox News while he was in office.
“I guess one of the differences between any stipulated lack of fulsomeness in the Obama-era response is: it didn’t have a network distorting the truth for it,” she argued. “Trump does.”
