National Guardsman Sgt. First Class Terry Gottke surprised his daughters after returning home from his year-long deployment in Afghanistan.
“WHERE’S THE FIRE? With sirens blaring, a National Guardsman, and Ohio firefighter, surprised his little girls as he arrived home from deployment in Afghanistan,” Fox News captioned the video of the big unveil in an Instagram post Tuesday.
In the video, viewers see the fire truck pull up as Gottke exits the truck in full firefighter gear complete with a gas mask, only to take off the mask and show his girls that he’s home.
In the piece posted on YouTube by Inside Edition Monday, the guardsman can be seen telling his girls that he’s home for good and didn’t have to leave again.
“Guess what babies? I don’t have to go back,” Gottke shared.
Both Gottke and his wife Brittany are firefighters in Blue Rock, Ohio.
