Retired ATF agent Jim Cavanaugh said on MSNBC Tuesday that “we just got to have the political will” to do something about shootings.
“Special interest groups try to carve at one thing you can’t touch.”

“This has to be changed on many fronts,” Cavanaugh said.
“Gun control is one, but there’s many other things, security, you know, education, coping skills, mental health issues. It’s just when, you know, special interest groups try to carve at one thing you can’t touch, can’t touch this, can’t touch that.”
“Anybody who’s giving you that answer is giving you the wrong answer because you have to fight the war on all fronts and you have to have strides on all fronts to make America safer.
