During a segment of ABC’s “The View” on Monday, Whoopi Goldberg ripped into former FBI Director James Comey for doing the exact same thing that Hillary Clinton was caught doing during the investigation: using a private email for official business.

She did not take Clinton to task for the same offense.

Goldberg opened the segment by bringing up Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s recently published report on the Clinton email investigation, and jumped almost immediately to pointing the finger at Comey.

“So, the inspector general’s report on the FBI’s actions during the last election came out and found that director James Comey was insubordinate and officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were unprofessional for sending messages around stopping Trump from becoming president, but they didn’t actually do anything to impact the election. So — but you know who messed up? Comey. You know who was using his own personal email? Comey.”

Meghan McCain pointed out that Comey’s actions were the same as the ones “he accused Hillary of,” saying, “And Hillary Clinton rightfully clapped back saying — tweeted over the weekend — ‘but my emails,’ because he was doing the exact same thing that he called out ten days before the election that she was doing as well.”

Joy Behar dismissed the Strzok/Page texts as “love notes” and argued that Comey had irreparably damaged Hillary Clinton, asking pointedly, “Who’s the president?”
