MSNBC morning news host Joe Scarborough tweeted out a bizarre poem about the president’s former campaign staff on Tuesday afternoon.
You used to fly around with your national security advisor.
You can’t anymore.
He’s a witch. You used to fly around with your campaign manager.
You can’t anymore.
He’s a witch. You used to fly around with your deputy campaign manager.
You can’t anymore.
He’s a witch. https://t.co/n6xu0TNQoe— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) July 10, 2018
It’s unclear what exactly the meaning of the poem is at this time, but it reiterates the same line, “You can’t anymore. He’s a witch,” in all three stanzas.
The poem, which uses the word “You” to start six of the nine lines, the narrator is most likely addressing President Trump in second-person. Under that assumption, “your national security advisor” refers to Michael Flynn.
Flynn is awaiting a sentence for lying to federal agents, but the judge delayed it again on Tuesday.
Further, making that same conclusion that Trump is the subject of the poem, the second stanza about the president’s campaign manager is most likely referring to Corey Lewandowski, judging by Scarborough’s use of the pronoun “he.”
It’s unclear, however, which deputy campaign manager Scarborough was referring to in this poem.
These could be lyrics to a new Scarborough song, a Vice reporter suggested.
