Tennessee Democratic communications manager Mark Brown has been insulting Trump-voting Americans, Evangelical Christians and even country music for years. Brown, who has tweeted that Democrats shouldn’t bother reaching out to Trump supporters because the president’s supporters are “idiots,” also has had some choice words for others over the years, leading the state GOP organization to say that Brown is “unhinged.”

Many of Brown’s most offensive tweets have been deleted but have been documented with screensaver captures. These are just a few of his offerings.

On Nov. 12, 2014, Brown, who lives works in Nashiville, the self-proclaimed “country music capital of the world,” had this to say about his city’s sounds in a tweet:

“If forced to pick my favorite mainstream country act, I would gouge out my eardrums with a f***ing icepick.”

On Nov. 26, 2017, he called America “racist”:

On October 31, 2017, Brown, who is trying to get Democratic candidates elected in the Bible Belt, tweeted out an article from the LA Times entitled, “Under Trump, Evangelicals show their true racist colors.”

On Dec. 18, 2017 Brown struck again, with a beyond-the-pale attack on the president: “FETUS: you insane fuck!”

Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Scott Golden told The Daily Caller that Brown’s continued employment indicates the party must agree with him.

“This Democratic spokesman’s hatred of our president and the 1.5 million Tennesseans who supported him was bad enough, but these attacks against people of faith and our entire country prove he is completely unhinged. The fact that he remains employed by Tennessee Democrats and Phil Bredesen even after such revelations tells you everything you need to know on where they really stand.”

Golden adds that it is inconceivable that Brown continues to represent the Democratic Party when other officials have been fired for such “hateful tweets.”
