It’s Lindsey Vonn’s birthday on Thursday.
In honor of the 34-year-old Olympic gold medal skier, we scoured the internet and found her most jaw-dropping looks on the red carpet and stage to date.
Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, the downhill skier first got everyone’s attention when she made her Olympic debut in 2002 at the Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, coming in sixth in both slalom and combined. The following year she took home the silver medal in the Junior World Championship at Puy St. Vincent, France, in the downhill competition, making her a world-wide celebrity. During her career, she has earned four World Cup overall championships. She took home the gold in downhill in the 2010 Winter Olympics, a first for an American woman in that event. Vonn also holds numerous titles, including 5 titles in super-G, and has won 82 World Cup races. That combined with her gold and bronze Olympic medals makes her one of the greatest skiers ever. Last week, she made headlines when after announcing that the 2018-2019 season would be her last as a ski racer.
“If I get [the record], that would be a dream come true,” the Olympic gold medalist shared. “If I don’t, I think I’ve had an incredibly successful career no matter what. I’m still the all-time winningest female skier.”
