President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, received an envelope containing a suspicious white powder last February.
Don Jr.’s wife at the time, Vanessa Trump, and members of her staff were hospitalized out of caution after coming in contact with the envelope. The white powder turned out to be harmless, but a letter included in the package read, “You’re an awful person and now you get what you deserve.”
The note continued, “I am surprised that your father lets you speak on TV. You make the family idiot, Eric, look smart. This is the reason why people hate you, so you are getting what you deserve. So shut the f**k UP!”
The man responsible for these mailings — 24-year-old Daniel Frisiello of Beverly, Massachusetts — was a leftist who donated to leftist causes. Frisiello has pleaded guilty, according to the Hill:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Daniel Frisiello, 25, pleaded guilty to 13 counts of mailing a threat to injure, and six counts of false information and hoaxes. He has been under house arrest since he was charged in March, and will be sentenced in January.
This week, suspected pipe bombs were delivered to the CNN offices in Manhattan, the homes of former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and billionaire George Soros.
Other suspicious items were sent to the offices of Democratic. Rep Maxine Waters and former Attorney General Eric Holder, Cory Booker and James Clapper, but were intercepted.
In light of the recent scourge of mail bombs being sent, Don Jr. opened up about the experience getting terrorized himself and the double standard in the media for coverage of conservatives vs. liberals being victims of violence.
