Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald was named the Big Ten football coach of the year Tuesday night.

First off, major props to Fitzgerald for earning this award. Northwestern won the Big Ten West under his watch, beat Wisconsin and had an impressive eight win year. (RELATED: The Final AP College Football Poll Of The Regular Season Is Here. Find Out Who Is Number One)
That’s not something you really see in the Big Ten. The Wildcats are supposed to be our punching bag. They’re not supposed to be winning titles. That’s just the truth. Fitzgerald went in and changed the culture. I can’t overstate how hard that is to do.

Secondly, I can’t even imagine how pissed off Michigan fans are right now. Jim Harbaugh went 10-2, only lost to Ohio State in conference play and Harbaugh didn’t win the award. Absolutely amazing.
I hope like hell they’re balling their eyes out. Give me the tears. Give me all the tears. Northwestern was simply better, and there’s no other way to say it.
Last time I checked, in America, we don’t celebrate or promote handouts.

Hey, if Harbaugh wants to win coach of the year, then he should at least try to win the Big Ten East. Of course, he might not even bother sticking around for much longer. Urban Meyer literally owns his soul after going 4-0 against him.
Michigan fans were flying high, and now they’re right back down in the dumps where they belong. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
