Week 13 of the NFL is now just one game away from being over.
Games on Thursday and Sunday were filled with action and heartbreak. Here are some of the best moments you may have missed below.
Thursday kicked off with one of the greatest upsets of the season:
One Dallas win did this:
*Gave the Rams the lead in the race for the NFC’s homefield advantage.
*Moved the Cowboys into sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
*Elevated Leighton Vander Esch into favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
*Ruined @stephenasmith’s day.

— Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) November 30, 2018
Let me see if I can do the math. Rams beat Chiefs.
Saints beat Rams.
Cowboys beat Saints.

Aaron Rodgers got his birthday wish, despite losing to the Cardinals:
Sources close to Pardon My Take have informed us that Packers HC Mike McCarthy will be relieved of his coaching duties with an announcement coming as early as this week. Please credit Pardon My Take if this happens

Coaches who led teams to Super-Bowl titles, only to be fired by them later: Hank Steam, Don McCafferty, Tom Landry, Mike Ditka, George Seifert, Mike Shanahan, Brian Billick, Jon Gruden, Mike Mccarthy. McCafferty and McCarthy are only in-season Super-Bowl winning HCs to he fired.

The Texans keep cruising:
Baker Mayfield throwing rockets – never seen his arm stronger. BUT: has thrown 3 INTs under fire from Texans rush and vs ball-hawking Hou D. 2 teams are taking off as we hit December: Dallas and Houston. TEXANS CAN BEAT ANYBODY IN AFC.

Despite their less-than-favorable news cycle, the Chiefs didn’t miss a beat:
We’ll see whether or not turns out to be right over time, but a text from a former player on the Chiefs and Kareem Hunt: “This type of (stuff) just derails a team. They won’t recover.”

The Patriots are making their ascent, and Adam Thielen should consider entering the witness protection program:
Started watching every Patriots game 15 years ago when I moved to Connecticut. Haven’t missed a game since. The consistency is unreal but now expected. Every other team feels like a version of Bitcoin. You can have your drama. I’ll take boring and successful.
