Meghan McCain floated a theory on Monday that we were actually in an “Earth II” scenario and that, somewhere, there was a parallel universe where former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was president.

Responding to Friday’s report from the New York Times, which revealed that senior FBI officials had opened a counter-intelligence investigation into possible ties between President Donald Trump and Russia, the hosts of ABC’s “The View” voiced varying degrees of concern. “A counter-intelligence investigation is basically an investigation by the FBI to determine whether or not the acting, sitting President of the United States is a foreign spy for a foreign power. That floored me,” Sunny Hostin began.
Abby Huntsman added, “I don’t think anyone has the answers right now. I was just as shocked by it … Look, full disclosure, I’m sitting here and my dad’s the ambassador to Russia. I think he would be more shocked than anybody if this were true, so there’s still a lot that we don’t know.”
“He might not know, though,” Joy Behar cut in.” Your father is an ambassador. This is covert operations. He may not know what’s going on.”
“Is Trump capable though of covert operations?” Huntsman fired back. “I just don’t …”
That’s when McCain weighed in with her theory, saying, “That is a good point. I mean, you know, he can barely run our country … It’s hard for me to think he would be this brilliant espionage spy, but I put nothing off the table anymore in 2019 because I think we’re on Earth II and there’s some parallel universe where, like, Jeb Bush is president, and I’m happy, and it’s different.”
McCain also qualified her response by pointing out the fact that even the NYT report conceded the fact that “there’s no evidence that has emerged publicly that Mr. Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian government officials.”
