Kareem Hunt is set to make a decent amount of money with the Cleveland Browns.

According to Ian Rapoport, Hunt’s deal with the Browns is worth north of $1 million after he was signed Monday afternoon. He wasn’t slated to make even $700,000 if he had continued to play on his rookie deal next year with the Chiefs. (RELATED: Kareem Hunt Signs With The Cleveland Browns)

It’s pretty wild that Hunt is coming out ahead of what he would of made before Kansas City showed him the door. He got cut because a video was released by TMZ that appeared to show him striking a woman, and now he’s getting a pay raise.

Welcome to the world of pro sports.

It’s pretty much the most NFL story ever to have a guy cut for alleged violence against a woman, and then turn around to make more money.

The question is obviously whether or not Hunt is worthy of the risk. At only a million dollars, it would seem so. That’s pennies to an NFL franchise.

Sound off in the comments with how you think Hunt will do with Cleveland. It should be incredibly interesting to watch.
