The Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Gophers rivalry is the most played in the history of college football.

According to a Twitter graphic from FOX College Football, the Gophers and Badgers have played more than any other two FBS teams. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Who holds the edge in the history rivalry? That’d be the Badgers at 61-60-8.

This is a great stat for the young fans out there who seem to have forgotten how far Wisconsin has come in the past 30 years.

We’ve been beating the hell out of Minnesota my entire life to the point it’s a joke. Yet we’re only one game up in the series.

Why is that? The answer is simple. It’s because Wisconsin wasn’t good at football for a long time. Obviously, the entire change started with Barry Alvarez.

Now, we’ve been rolling for the better part of three decades and Minnesota wishes they could get some of our sauce.

Remember this past year when the Gophers honestly thought they could beat the Badgers for a spot in the B1G title game?

That sure was cute. That was very cute. We went to Minnesota, wrecked them and came home. It doesn’t get much better.

You just hate to see a program like Minnesota that had so much early success in the rivalry get crushed over a 30 year period.

You just hate to see it!
