Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes thinks he still has a lot to improve on.

Mahomes, who recently inked the largest deal in NFL history, told CBS Sports the following on how he can make his game better:

There’s still so much I can improve. The mental part of the game, you learn more and more every single year you’re in the NFL, especially at the quarterback position…I’m going to keep trying to learn as much as possible. I’m going to keep to drill in the fundamentals. I really have only been playing quarterback for six or seven years. It’s not like I’ve been playing for a very long time at the position, so I’m going to do whatever I can to try and get better and better at the fundamentals.

I don’t know if Mahomes is being humble for the hell of it because he’s that kind of guy or if he’s being serious. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

If Patrick Mahomes is actually serious that he still has a long way to go before hitting his ceiling, then the NFL is done.

This is similar to when Mahomes said he didn’t even really understand how to read a defense as he was dominating the league.

I honestly don’t know what part of Mahomes’ game is less than elite. He has a cannon for an arm, he’s absurdly accurate and he’s incredibly intelligent.

He didn’t win a Super Bowl by accident. He did it because he’s the most unstoppable player in the NFL. He’s an absolute terror for defensive coordinators.

What exactly is he hoping to get much better at?

If he somehow does manage to get a lot better, then fans are going to see a player unlike anything we’ve ever witnessed before. I hope we see it!
