NCAA president Mark Emmert has serious issues with sports being played in the fall.

Emmert told ESPN that he’s “very concerned” about sports in the fall as we continue to wage war against the coronavirus pandemic. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“We need to clearly see the indicators of viral spread be moving in a much better direction than they are right now…In those areas where we know we have a lot of competition, a lot of sports going on, we need to see movement in the right direction and right now, it’s starting to plateau in some areas, but it’s not headed in the right direction,” Emmert explained.

Well, the last thing I want to hear is that the man running the NCAA is losing faith in the situation. That’s not a good sign at all.

Having said that, I also don’t really care what Emmert has to say at this point. Where has he been for the past several months?

While we’re all trying to figure out how to play football in the fall during the coronavirus pandemic, Emmert has more or less been MIA.

Excuse me if I don’t all of a sudden put a ton of faith into what he has to say.

At this point, it should be left to the conference commissioners and Emmert should get lost. When I need his advice, I’ll ask for it.

The Big 10, SEC, ACC, Big 12 and the PAC-12 are making the decisions now. Emmert doesn’t get to show up late and start dictating terms.

We’re going to play football in the fall, and we’ll do it with or without Emmert’s help.
