Gardner Minshew has been placed on the NFL’s coronavirus list.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback was placed on the coronavirus reserve list Sunday. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Being on the list doesn’t mean a player has coronavirus. It simply means they might have had contact with somebody who does, and will require multiple negative tests before returning.

This is terrible news in the war against coronavirus. Gardner Minshew is a modern-day hero in the world of football.

The last thing we need as a country is for Minshew to miss any action because he’s on the coronavirus list.

We don’t need him off the field. We need him slinging passes.

First Matthew Stafford got put on the list and now Gardner Minshew has joined him. My favorite quarterbacks in the NFL are falling like flies.

If either quarterback has to miss time, their teams will be awful. The Lions and Jaguars simply can’t win with their starters sidelined.

Let’s all hope Minshew gets off the list sooner than later.
