Big 12 football teams will play 10 regular season games during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Big 12 announced late Monday night that teams in the conference would play nine league games and one non-conference matchup. Conference games are expected to start “between mid- to late-September.”
The league is also maintaining flexibility for the conference title game, which might get moved to December 12 or 19. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

I wish the Big 12 was going to play 10 conference games, but this plan is pretty solid overall. Playing a total of 10 games is solid during the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, we officially have the plans for every single Power Five conference. The only thing we’re waiting on is specifics from the Big 10.

We know their plan is to play only conference games, but we don’t know how many games will happen. Will the Big 10 have 10 games like the SEC or only nine like the Big 12?
Let’s hope it’s the former option and not the latter. The more conference games the better. That’s just a proven fact.

All the way around, the Big 12 made a solid call, and I think fans will be more than happy to live with this outcome. Ten games isn’t too bad at all.
