Army will play West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl.

Tennessee was slated to play in the Liberty Bowl, but had to drop out of the event because of coronavirus issues. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

That left an opening for the Black Knights, and they didn’t hesitate to take it. Now, Army and the Mountaineers will battle December 31 at 4:00 EST on ESPN!

I think I speak for college football fans everywhere when I say that this is awesome. Army was originally shafted out of a bowl game.

It looked like the 9-2 Black Knights were going to have to watch bowl season from home. Now, they’re geared up for a battle against WVU to close out 2021. It should be a hell of a fun time.

Army is a very solid program, had an outstanding year and I couldn’t be happier that they’re going bowling.

It was an absolute joke that they were originally kept out of a bowl game, and the situation has now been fixed.

Catch the game December 31 at 4:00 EST on ESPN!
