The Wisconsin Badgers have dropped several spots in the latest college basketball AP Poll.

The newest rankings were released Monday, and the Badgers dropped all the way from 10 to 14 after a crushing loss to Ohio State this past Saturday. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Gonzaga is still the top team in the country.

I’m not going to lie to you all when I say this cuts deep. It absolutely cuts deep. We keep on sliding down the rankings, and it’s just a punch in the gut.

We entered the season with pretty much the whole world believing we were a top five squad. Now, we’re 12-4 and 14th in the AP Poll.

Nobody is happy with where we are.

Hopefully, Wisconsin uses this as a bit of motivation to climb back to the top of the rankings. We have some tough games coming up, and we just need to take it day by day.

I know we’re better than the 14th team in America, but we certainly haven’t proved it on a consistent basis.

Hopefully, we can start turning things around Wednesday against Maryland.
