Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott reportedly wants to be paid a ton of money to stay with the team.

According to Jane Slater, the face of the Dallas Cowboys wants to be paid “right behind Patrick Mahomes” on a long-term deal with the franchise. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Mahomes inked an extension with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to the 2020 season worth $450 million. You can listen to Slater’s conversation with Dan Patrick below.

If Slater’s reporting is accurate, then Prescott has lost his damn mind. You know why Mahomes gets paid the money he gets paid?

It’s because he’s won a Super Bowl and is probably the best player in the NFL. When you’re the best player in the NFL, you can make that kind of money.

What has Prescott done in the NFL? He hasn’t done anything that’s super noteworthy. Is he a solid quarterback? Sure.

Should he be paid $45 million or more a year? Absolutely not, especially when you consider he’s coming off a brutal ankle injury. There’s no situation where that should happen. He needs weapons around him, and Jerry Jones knows it.

He simply can’t write that kind of check.

We’ll see what happens, but Prescott has gone crazy if he wants to be paid anything similar to Mahomes.
