Netflix dropped a new preview Wednesday for “Last Chance U: Basketball.”

The popular series used to focus on JUCO football, but it’s pivoted to basketball for the newest season of action. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The streaming site released the following information about the upcoming episodes:

Over the course of eight episodes, viewers will follow the East Los Angeles College Huskies (ELAC) in their high stakes chase to an unprecedented California state basketball championship. Led by passionate head coach John Mosley, the ELAC team is made up of former D1 recruits and powerhouse athletes hustling to prove themselves for a last chance to fulfill their dreams of playing at the next level. But the team is tested as the players battle adversity, inner demons, and emotions on and off the court.

I’m fascinated to see what we get in the upcoming episodes. I loved “Last Chance U” when the show focused on football.

I thought it was the best football documentary/reality show on TV. In its prime, it was even better than “Hard Knocks.”

Now, we’re getting a season about JUCO basketball. For those of you who don’t know, JUCO basketball is a wild world to be a part of.

There are a lot of great players who aren’t at the D1 level because of grades or other reasons, and it gives off some serious AAU vibes.

It’s pretty much nothing like high-level D1 ball.

You can check out “Last Chance U: Basketball” starting March 10. It sure looks like an interesting ride.
