Ricky Williams’ ex-girlfriend is apparently the reason he started smoking weed.

Williams revealed he had a terrible breakup when it was revealed that his girlfriend at the time was with the backup quarterback. His response to chill out? He started sparking up to relax. Watch him tell the incredible story below.

I love how Williams waited until pretty much the end of the story to say his ex-girlfriend ended up marrying the other guy.

Still, what an all-time great story. The dude is in a hot tub when he finds out his girlfriend is associating with another guy, they have a falling out and he finds himself diving into weed because it helped him “sleep and relax.”
Obviously, his marijuana use became a major problem in the NFL, and his career never meeting its potential isn’t a laughing matter.
However, him walking Shannon Sharpe through how a cheating ex-girlfriend got him on pot is funny. It just is. If you didn’t find that interview funny, then it’s on you.
