The game Sunday for the FCS title, which is the level right below major D1 college football, was electric.
Despite a lengthy delay because of the weather, it’s going to be remembered as one of the best college football games we’ve ever seen.

SHSU needed some late game heroics, and Schmid didn’t disappoint. He tossed the ball right into triple coverage for the win.
That’s the kind of play that requires major guts, and Schmid clearly has them in spades.
Congratulations to the Sam Houston State Bearcats on winning their first football national championship.
It was one of the best, most riveting, football games ever.

Also, I could get used to FCS football in the spring. It’s not on the same level as major D1 football, but as we all saw yesterday, it’s still a ton of fun. It wouldn’t be the worst idea to keep FCS in the spring forever.
