Police reportedly detained rapper DaBaby and members of his entourage Tuesday after the group was allegedly involved in a Miami beach shooting.

The shooting occurred Monday night around 11:30 p.m., law enforcement told TMZ. It is unclear in what way DaBaby was involved, but law enforcement confirmed to TMZ that the rapper was interviewed.

“I actually thought it was like fireworks, because this is a very touristy area,” resident Dimitri James told Local 10 News. (RELATED: REPORT: DaBaby Arrested On A Gun Charge In Beverly Hills)

“I thought I heard like, it might have been a gun battle because it was like, ‘boom, boom, boom, boom boom,’ just nonstop,” he added. “Then it died out, and like five minutes later, again, ‘boom, boom, boom, boom.'”

Two people were shot during the altercation. Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, Local 10 News reported. One has been treated and released from the hospital, according to the outlet.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, but a source told Page Six that DaBaby and his crew got into an altercation after a car pulled up next to the group.

“DaBaby and his crew had an issue with people right next to them in the car,” the source told the outlet. “DaBaby and his crew were traveling in around six SUVs, and either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight.”

“Rumor has it that DaBaby and 10 to 12 members of his entourage have been detained by police,” the source added.
