Rory McIlroy Wants People To Be Nicer To Bryson DeChambeau

Golf star Rory McIlroy thinks people are too mean to Bryson DeChambeau.

In a video released by Golf TV, the Northern Irish golfer told the media that he thinks that people need to ease up a bit. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

While he admitted that DeChambeau isn’t completely faultless, McIlroy thinks things have gone too far. You can watch him explain his stance below.

How soft of a sport is golf? Do you think rivals in the NFL would ever be out here talking like this? Do you think guys in the NHL would be telling players to be nicer to each other?

Hell no. They’d be encouraging people to go after each other no matter the cost. Not in the sport of golf, though!

In golf, we have to be nice to each other, even when DeChambeau goes out of his way to instigate stuff.

We’re now at the point in golf that if someone shouts Brooksy at DeChambeau in reference to his feud with Brooks Koepka, they’ll get removed.

How much softer could the sport possibly get? It already gives off the impression it’s only for snooty rich people. Now, it’s trying to give off the impression it’s only for soft people.

Absolutely pathetic words from McIlroy. It’s a damn shame golf is so soft.
