Andy Dalton is back under center for the Chicago Bears.

According to Field Yates, the Bears have pulled the trigger on starting Dalton against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Justin Fields is out with a ribs injury, which resulted in Andy Dalton replacing him this past Sunday during a loss to the Ravens.

This Bears/Lions game might be one of the most painful NFL games in the history of the league. Andy Dalton is starting for the Bears and there’s a very real chance Tim Boyle starts again for the Lions.

What did football fans do to deserve a Thanksgiving featuring Andy Dalton and Tim Boyle? Why are we being punished?

On a more serious point, Chicago’s season is shot, the Bears are 100% not making the playoffs and there’s no point in rushing Fields back.

Putting him back on the field before he’s 100% could result in absolute disaster. They might as well play it safe and roll with Dalton.

That’s what they’re doing and Thursday is going to be painful when the Lions and Bears take the field.
