Philadelphia Phillies player Alec Bohm had a very rough Monday game.

During a 5-4 home win for the Phillies over the Mets, Bohm committed multiple errors and eventually, emotions got the best of him. He was caught on the broadcast camera saying, “I f**king hate this place.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

After the game, Bohm made no attempt to run or hide from what he said. He admitted he said it and told the press, “Look, emotions got the best of me. I said it. Do I mean it? No.”

You can watch his full comments below.

Honestly, good for Bohm for not backing down or lying about what he muttered to himself. He was having a brutal night on the field, and he allowed his temper and emotions to get the best of him.

Whenever you’re in a high intensity job, it can happen. It’s just the nature of the beast.

Most people would have probably tried to play it off or lied about what they’d said because they didn’t want to deal with the inevitable backlash.

Instead, he owned up to the situation and dealt with it like a man. If I was a fan of the Phillies, I would only like him even more for the maturity he showed in the aftermath.

Let us know in the comments what you think of Bohm’s comment and how he handled it after the game.
