48-year-old actress Hilary Swank revealed she is pregnant with twins on “Good Morning America” Wednesday.

The “Alaska Daily” star seemed to gush with pride as she informed viewers about the news. “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” Swank said. She quickly followed up the statement with even more news: “And not just of one, but of two.”

Swank told viewers she “can’t believe it,” and beamed from ear to ear about her news. The “Good Morning America” co-hosts congratulated her and thanked her for sharing the moment with their audience. “I’m so happy to share it with you and with America right now,” Swank said.

“It’s so nice to be able to talk about it and share it,” Swank said. Swank didn’t give out any additional information, but through her brief conversation with the co-hosts, fans learned she was far enough along to be able to comfortably share the news of her pregnancy. The actress has long been vocal about her desire to bear children and start a family. “I definitely would like kids someday,” Swank told People in 2006. “That’s definitely something that I’ve always thought about as a very, very young girl,” she said.

Swank is married to producer Philip Schneider. The two tied the knot in August after dating for two years, according to Page Six.
