President Joe Biden said Sunday he opposed states restricting access to irreversible sex-change treatment for minors, saying states that are putting forth restrictions are “outrageous” and “immoral.”

The president made the comments in an interview with Dylan Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a woman and has garnered attention on social media for using hyper-feminine stereotypes while “transitioning” into “girlhood.”

Activists and Democrats, including Biden himself, discussing support for providing confused minors with irreversible sex change treatments — puberty blockers, chemical castration, and the removal of healthy sex tissue — often euphemistically refer to them as “gender affirming care.” Many hospitals, states and cities support the treatments, while others have made moves to outright ban them for anyone who is not an adult. “Many states have lawmakers that feel like they can involve themselves in this very personal process. Do you think states should have the right to ban gender-affirming health care?” Mulvaney asked while speaking to Biden at the White House.

“I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that, as a moral question and a legal question,” Biden responded.

“I just think it’s wrong,” Biden added. “I feel very, very strongly that you should have every single solitary right, including, including use of your gender identity bathroom in public.”

Mulvaney’s content on Instagram features updates on the “girlhood” transition, including wearing hair, makeup, clothes and high heels to emulate being a woman. (RELATED: Fans Call For Boycott After Ulta Beauty’s Failed Transgender Podcast Ad)

“I get a lot of hate about calling myself a ‘girl’ and not a ‘woman.’ They think I’m infantilizing myself or that, you know, once you turn 18, you’re no longer a girl,” Mulvaney has said. “So I think some of that’s rooted in transphobia. I think in womanhood, I get shamed a lot for liking pink and liking glitter, and I’m like, ‘Why does that bother you so much?’”

Biden added in his interview, “the trans part is not immoral. What they’re trying to do to trans persons is immoral.”

Minors across the country are given access to irreversible hormone blockers and surgeries after identifying as a different gender, and medical organizations authored a letter to the Department of Justice in October calling for an investigation on social media users spreading “disinformation” about child sex-changes.

Alexei Woltornist, a former spokesperson for Trump’s DOJ, told the Daily Caller that the letter “confirms that even those on the left view [the] DOJ as a political operation.”

High-profile journalists, like Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh and Christopher Rufo, have said that they will continue exposing the hospitals responsible for allowing minors to have access to the irreversible sex-change surgeries.
