Club for Growth Action will release a new ad Wednesday highlighting rising prices under the Biden administration as part of its opposition to Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.

The ad, titled “Don’t Call,” will run through Election Day in Tucson. Kelly is running neck-and-neck with Republican challenger Blake Masters, several polls have shown, despite a massive cash advantage for the incumbent. Masters has relied on spending from outside groups like Club for Growth Action and the Sentinel Action Fund to help him keep pace with Kelly, who has raised nearly $82 million during the cycle.

The ad, viewed exclusively by the Daily Caller, shows Kelly in a hypothetical phone conversation with an Arizona voter while using footage the Kelly campaign released during the 2020 election. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Sentinel Action Fund To Hammer Democrats On Energy Prices In New Hampshire)

“After you voted to spend trillions we don’t have, my family has had to cut back on nearly everything we buy,” the narrator says. “You voted to confirm Biden’s soft on crime judges. Please don’t call me again.”

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key measure of inflation, increased 0.4% in September, and has jumped 8.2% year-over-year. Energy prices are up 19.8% year-over-year, and food prices are up 11.2%, according to CPI. Economists on the left and the right generally agree that increased federal spending from congressional Democrats’ two reconciliation bills, the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, as well as student loan forgiveness, have caused prices to increase.

“Voters know that Mark Kelly has a long record of supporting out-of-control-spending and soft-on-crime judges which is why Blake Masters is surging in the polls and we’re increasing our investment,” Club for Growth Action president David McIntosh said in a statement to the Daily Caller. “We’ll be fundraising and spending in this race right up until the buzzer to send one of Biden’s most reliable rubber-stamps packing. Arizona voters want something done about the rising crime and inflation, and Mark Kelly’s record of voting with Biden 95% of the time speaks a lot louder than his claims of being a moderate.”

Club for Growth Action has spent more than $77 million during the midterm election cycle, according to Federal Election Commission filings. It has spent more than $3 million in independent expenditures against Kelly, according to OpenSecrets, and has reserved $10 million total in Arizona during the primary and general election.

Sentinel Action Fund, a Super PAC aligned with Heritage Action for America, is chipping in $5 million in the race. Saving Arizona, a PAC associated with billionaire investor Peter Thiel, is spending $1.68 million.
