Dan Lembo, a contestant from the reality TV show “Survivor,” died of a rare brain condition on Sept. 3 at the age of 75.
His daughter Emily Lembo told TMZ he suffered from an incurable brain disorder called progressive supranuclear palsy. Lembo fought hard against the disease, which took a toll on his memory, speech and motor skills. He succumbed to the illness after six long years of living with the condition, according to TMZ.
It seems the #Survivor community has lost another alum, as it’s been discovered Dan Lembo passed away in September.

Lembo was surrounded by his friends, family and loved ones when he passed away peacefully at his home in New York. They came forward with the confirmation of his passing after taking time to mourn in peace.
Fans of “Survivor” reality TV show fondly remember Lembo from season 21, which filmed in 2010 in Nicaragua. He was a fan favorite and saw great success on the show, making it all the way to the final five before getting voted off the island on Day 37. Off the show, Dan was a successful businessman, and as a nod to his success and his personal flare, he wore very expensive alligator shoes on the show during the competition.
Emily said Dan thoroughly enjoyed his time on the show and that he loved being recognized on the street.
