Jenna Bush Hager was called out for not wearing underwear on Tuesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” and she went on to reveal she went commando during dinner with King Charles in September.
The former first daughter told the audience she met with King Charles the night before Queen Elizabeth II died and dined with the royal family in Scotland that evening. Hager shook her head “no” when asked by host Andy Cohen if she wore underwear to that royal engagement.
“It was a beautiful tight dress. It would have shown!” Hager said, attempting to defend her position.
Hoda Kotb let the secret out about Hager’s lack of underwear by telling a story to the audience during “TODAY with Hoda and Jenna” on Nov. 16. Kotb revealed she and Hager were changing backstage and that’s when she noticed the missing undergarments. The two shared some giggles and some back-and-forth banter about the pros and cons of ditching the panties.

Hager appeared surprised and amused Kotb had brought up the topic on-air. She reminded the audience she wasn’t the one who announced her personal habits to the world, but rather Kotb was the one to thank for the public announcement. “People think I shared that with the world!” Hager exclaimed.

“But she doesn’t have any panty lines and all those things that you need to worry about!” Kotb said.
“I think it makes a more pretty silhouette. I also think you don’t have to pack as much. There’s a lot of pros to it!” Hager weighed in.
The ladies discussed the topic of laundering clothing more frequently after dressing without undergarments, and Hager confirmed she does, in fact, wash her clothes.
“But it’s also not like I’m sharing my jeans with you,” she quipped.
