WWE star Alexa Bliss revealed her skin cancer diagnosis Wednesday on her Instagram Story.

Bliss showcased a photograph of herself with a long bandage on the side of her face. She captioned the image with a note to her younger self, as she reflected on her newly discovered health condition.

“Dear younger me, You should have stayed out of tanning beds,” she wrote. The wrestling star then addressed her viewers to let them know she was on the mend: “All clear now though!”

Bliss took a moment to show her gratitude by thanking the American Skin Institute for “taking great care” of her while she underwent a procedure.

The pro wrestler then switched to a different social media platform to continue the conversation about cancer.

She engaged in some back and forth conversation with her adoring and apparently very concerned fans.

They had questions for the star, and she seemed happy to oblige.

A fan tweeted asking Bliss how she was feeling.

“Thank you! Don’t worry, short healing time,” she wrote. “Always get your skin checked! Esp if you are in the sun or use tanning beds!”

Another Twitter user asked Bliss what prompted her to seek medical attention, and if she had seen any spots or marks on her skin. (RELATED: Andrew Lloyd Webber Reveals His Son Is Critically Ill)

“There was a spot on my face yes,” Bliss said. She then admitted it “had gotten worse. So went to get biopsy.”

Bliss informed fans that the spot turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, which is a common form of skin cancer.

“During my procedure doc also found other squamous cells. Was a quick and easy procedure. Glad I always get my skin checked 😊,” she said.
