‘The Doctors’ Actress Dead At 89

Famous actress Elizabeth Hubbard died at the age of 89, according to a message posted by her son, Jeremy, on Monday.

Hubbard was known for her role on the soap opera “As The World Turns” as well as “The Doctors.” “I’m sorry to say with a broken heart mi mum passed over the weekend,” Jeremy wrote in a short and simple message to social media. “Thank you for being an unmovable rock that guided me through life. I will try to honour your memory for as long as I live.”

Hubbard’s talents were displayed in her prominent role as Dr. Althea Davis on the drama series “The Doctors,” which aired from 1964 to 1982, according to People. The famous actress lent her talents to an astounding appeared in a 2741 episodes of the show.

Hubbard also played the role of Lucinda Walsh on the long-running soap opera, “As The World Turns.” She showcased her talents in 1975 episodes of the show, which aired from 1975-2010, according to People.

The famous actress and soap star made her last on-screen appearance on the soap series “Anacostia” in the role of Eva Montgomery. The show had a three-year run from 20152-2018, in which Hubbard was featured in a total of 9 episodes.

Hubbard achieved a long list of accolades over the course of her career. She was nominated for 11 Daytime Emmy awards and won the Daytime Emmy for Best Actress in a Daytime Drama in 1974 for her role as Dr. Althea Davis. She also snagged the award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Special Emmy for her role in “First Ladies Diaries: Edith Wilson,” according to People.
