Famous influencer and YouTube star MrBeast filed a lawsuit Monday against his food-delivery service partner, Virtual Dining Concepts.

MrBeast alleged Virtual Dining Concepts produced “inedible” and “low quality” food that was marketed as part of his brand, according to People. The two parties entered a partnership in 2020 to launch MrBeast Burger. MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, claimed his brand and reputation have now been damaged, according to People.

“Virtual Dining Concepts was more focused on rapidly expanding the business as a way to pitch the virtual restaurant model to other celebrities for its own benefit, it was not focused on controlling the quality of the MrBeast Burger customer experience and products,” MrBeast alleged in the legal documents.

Thelawsuit was filed in New York, and alleges MrBeast tried to rectify this issue without resolution, and cites that “complaints about quality control fell on deaf ears,” according to People.

The complaint noted that “as a result, MrBeast Burger has been regarded as a misleading, poor reflection of the MrBeast brand that provides low-quality products to customers that are delivered late, in unbranded packaging, fail to include the ordered items, and in some instances, were inedible.”

A long list of negative reviews were shared as part of the court documents that were filed. MrBeast reportedly accumulated “thousands” of complaints about raw meat, cold food, and deliveries that arrived in unbranded packages, according to People. Documents filed in court said, “It is MrBeast himself, and not Virtual Dining Concepts, who has borne the brunt of the (justified) attacks and criticisms.”

MrBeast has over 172 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, and has been selling his custom-branded burger-and-fries combos in restaurants across America.
