The Medical Examiner’s Office in New York reportedly determined the cause of Treat Williams’ death was “severe trauma and blood loss.”

The report comes two months after Williams was in a fatal motorcycle accident June 12 at the age of 71, according to People. The crash reportedly happened on Route 30 by Long Trail Auto near Dorset, Vermont, local fire chief Jacob Gribble said. Their investigation reportedly determined a single car crashed with Williams’s motorcycle. According to investigators, they believe the other driver failed to see the actor on the motorcycle, the outlet noted.

Authorities issued the driver of the vehicle who reportedly crashed with Williams “a citation on a charge of grossly negligent operation with death,” People reported. A LifeNet helicopter reportedly airlifted Williams to a New York hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to People.

“He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off,” Williams’ agent Barry McPherson said, according to People.

“I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented,” McPherson reportedly said.

He went on to speak of the actor’s long career in Hollywood.

“He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s,” McPherson said. (RELATED: Lisa Marie Presley’s Cause Of Death Revealed)

Williams leaves behind his wife, actress Pam Van Sant, and two children, per People.
