… and why all of America should root against them.

When Josh Harris and Magic Johnson’s group bought the Washington Commanders last month, we were all ecstatic at the possibilities under new ownership — especially with the petition that got sparked up shortly after the sale was made official that is attempting to bring the “Redskins” moniker back.

Well, all of that excitement was extremely short-lived, as the Commanders (God, I hate that name) have reunited with Anheuser-Busch, more specifically their Bud Light brand, as they have welcomed them back as a major sponsor of the team (ew).

Back in March 2022, Anheuser-Busch ended their longtime sponsorship with the franchise after previous owner Dan Snyder was put under multiple investigations by both the NFL and the United States Congress.

And now … well… they’re back! And the Commanders are just eating that ish up:

I’m from the DMV, but I can’t rock with the Washington Commanders in their current state.

Here’s the thing: I’m in full understanding that Anheuser-Busch sponsors 26 other NFL teams and they also have 24 players on their advertising roster, but a lot of that also happened before the whole Dylan Mulvaney fiasco — no harm there; get your money, boo boo.

But the fact that the Commanders did this after the Mulvaney marketing disaster that made sweet America livid?!

I’m disgusted. (RELATED: Budweiser Gets Hilariously Blasted For New Can Design)

And like I said, I’m from the DMV — I’ve always been a fan of the Commanders Redskins brand.

But quite frankly, they can eat crap this season.
