Country star Hank Williams Jr. married his longtime friend Brandi Saturday in an intimate wedding in Alabama, just days after the couple announced their engagement.

A statement confirming the couples’ nuptials was released to social media, Monday. “Please congratulate Mr. And Mrs. Hank Williams Jr! Hank and Brandi were married on Sept 9, 2023 at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama in front of a small group of family and friends. A reception followed at Kendall Hall in Troy, Alabama,” they wrote to the 74-year-old star’s official Facebook page.

The statement went on to provide some background information about the couple, and the very special bond they share.

“They had gotten engaged earlier this year on Mothers Day,” the post reads. “The bride and groom have known each other and been friends since 2003.”

Their engagement was announced Sept. 4 on the Facebook page of the Pure Hank radio show.

“The newly engaged outlaw country music and southern rock legend Hank Williams, Jr. alongside his beautiful and lovely fiancé[e] Brandi,” the post’s caption read, alongside a happy photo of the pair.
