Holy cow, my Miami Heat dodged a bullet here — lord have mercy.

Damian Lillard and his wife Kay’La are going their separate ways, with the new Milwaukee Bucks superstar filing for divorce from his Weber State University college sweetheart on Oct. 2, according to the Willamette Week.

The filing comes just days after Lillard was shipped off to the Bucks from the Portland Trail Blazers in a huge blockbuster trade. (SIDE NOTE: This dude is getting divorced from everybody now, hilarious)

In his filing, Lillard cited “irreconcilable differences” that “caused the irremediable breakdown” of his marriage with Kay’La.

While Lillard stayed at the couple’s $7.7 million home in West Linn, Kay’La relocated to a $2.7 million house in the same Portland suburb, according to Willamette Week’s report.

Damian and Kay’La got married in Sept. 2021 and have three sons together: five-year-old Damian Jr. and two-year-old twins Kali and Kalii, according to People.

I was incredibly disappointed when the Miami Heat didn’t land Damian Lillard … not so much now.

When I first saw this news, the first thing that popped in my head was the Tom Brady-Gisele Bündchen divorce. We all saw how that divorce kicked Brady’s ass and wore him down, and understandably so, but all I’m saying is: if a divorce can affect the greatest of all time in probably not just football but all of sports, it’ll get Damian too.

In other words, the Miami Heat dodged a massive bullet — massive. (RELATED: Cowboys Or 49ers? Jaguars Or Bills? Ravens Or Steelers? Andrew Powell Makes His NFL Week 5 Picks)

Just watch, it’ll be drama-filled basketball for the Bucks this season. I’m calling it now.
