Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming documentary “Sly,” Wednesday, and it looks like Sylvester Stallone is going deep with this tell-all film.

Generations of Americans don’t remember a time when Sylvester Stallone wasn’t one of their heroes. Most of our minds immediately go to the classics, “Rocky” or “Rambo,” but the 77-year-old Oscar-nominated actor (writer, producer, director) hasn’t had an easy or normal path to fame. And there are still so many parts to his story that remain untold.

Fans will finally be able to see deep inside the life of this Hollywood icon with his up-coming documentary “Sly,” on Netflix. The story follows his almost cancellation, well before cancel culture was a thing. He got to the point where he was ready to give up on acting, and pursue something completely different with his career.

But the rejection was his encouragement. He went on to become one of the most famous men in the world. “When you’re a truly absorbed filmmaker, you put things before your family and the repercussions are quite devastating,” he says in the trailer. “Now I realize that’s all that fucking matters.” (RELATED: You’ll Be Pumping Iron After Watching The ‘Arnold’ Docuseries Trailer)

Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin almost divorced in 2022 after 25 years of marriage. The couple reconciled later in the year, and are still together today … judging by the trailer!
