Arizona Diamondbacks ace starting pitcher Zac Gallen hilariously trolled a man on Twitter after eliminating the Phillies from the MLB playoffs.

The fan, who has since made his Twitter account private, tweeted at Gallen, “You were 0-2 against the Phillies! You got rocked in both games!” according to a screenshot posted by another user.

Gallen responded “Make sure to get those tix for your next game” with a picture of a Google search for “Phillies spring training.”

Gallen’s Diamondbacks eliminated the Phillies from the postseason in a thrilling seven game National League Championship Series (NLCS) which concluded Tuesday night.

The Phillies, who celebrated a berth in the NLCS with a raucous song that featured chants of “fuck the Bravos, and always the Mets,” are the team everybody loves to hate.

As a Mets fan I personally despise them and will be drinking the delicious salty tears of all their fans for the foreseeable future. So to see Gallen, a Philadelphia area native, get in on the fun and destroy this Phillies fan brings tears of joy to my eyes. Also, while Gallen may not have had the best NLCS, taking a loss in games one and five, he is undoubtedly one of the best pitchers in the MLB and his team would not be where it is without him.

Gallen finished fifth in the NL Cy Young race in 2022 and followed it up with a career year in 2023 earning himself an All-Star nod and finishing the year with 220 strikeouts, good for sixth in the MLB, per MLB.com.
