Trench Baby, the brother of famous rapper Polo G, was arrested and charged for the murder of 20-year-old Dashaun Berry in relation to a drive-by-shooting June 10, TMZ reported Monday.
Trench Baby, whose real name is Taurean Bartlett, is accused of killing Berry in the early morning hours in a North Hollywood parking lot, according to TMZ. Sources close to the situation pronounced Berry dead at the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m., after he suffered several gunshot wounds.
Police believe this is just one incident among a string of crimes that Trench Baby allegedly committed over the span of several months following Berry’s murder.
Authorities have also charged Trench Baby with first-degree residential robbery in relation to an incident that transpired Aug. 15. He is facing additional charges, including dissuading a witness by force or threat, dating back to an altercation on Sept. 10, according to TMZ.
Police reportedly honed in on Polo G and Trench Baby at their Los Angeles home shortly after the August robbery and placed them both under arrest. An investigation into the matter was promptly launched by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Polo G and Trench Baby were also investigated on charges relating to an alleged altercation that unfolded inside a Burbank recording studio. Prosecutors deemed there was insufficient evidence to lay charges in that incident.
Trench Baby is currently being held without bail and is facing a felony murder charge. Upcoming hearing dates have not been publicly declared at this time.
