The trailer for “Homestead” dropped in early January, and it looks like the most incredible apocalypse/post-apocalyptic film and television series for 2024.

From the studio that brought us “Sound of Freedom” and “After Death,” Angel Studios is now inviting us into the “Homestead.” The story is based on the top-selling literary and television series “Black Autumn,” by Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross, which follows two families as they navigate the fall of the American Empire via a movie that will transition into a television series.

One of the families is ultra-wealthy and prepared for the end. The other belongs to a veteran hired to protect the wealthy family. “Amidst their conflict, and as the world grows increasingly violent, evidence mounts that God may have plans of His own,” the description reads.

“I’m always a fan first when it comes to Angel films,” Jeffrey Harmon, Co-Founder of Angel Studios said in a statement shared with the Daily Caller. “I’m excited to see a hope-filled, family apocalypse story hit the screens — because isn’t God always doing something incredible, even during tough times? Homestead goes on a wild ride through the crash of civilization, only to reveal that family, community and love are the ultimate survival advantage. I can’t wait to watch the movie and the TV show.” (RELATED: ‘After Death’ Becomes Highest Grossing Documentary Since 2019, And We Know Why)

“Homestead” is set for release in 2024, and features a wealth of our favorite faces. Neal McDonough stars alongside Bailey Chase  (“Longmire”), Dawn Olivieri (“1883,” “Yellowstone”)  and so many more — most of whom have major credits within the mainstream movie and television industry.

In one year, Angel Studios seems to have normalized the transition of first-class actors away from mainstream entertainment and into faith-inspired productions. It’s beyond inspiring and gives us all hope at a time when our world does feel like it’s about to end.
