Emeka Egbuka is back!

The Ohio State Buckeyes are setting themselves up to have another great season in 2024, and they’re being assisted by the return of star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka.

Though the numbers don’t show the full extent, Egbuka is one of the best wide receivers in the entire United States and would have most likely found himself in the NFL Draft’s first round in April if he declared. As a result, my man would’ve cashed out, making millions in guaranteed money. (RELATED: Texas QB Quinn Ewers Hunts Down Gargantuan (14-Point?) Buck Amid Looming NFL Draft Decision)

But instead of chasing the bag (at least in the NFL), Egbuka has decided to return to Columbus for his senior season, leaving fans in absolute disbelief after most thought that he was surely turning professional.

“I am returning for my senior year at Ohio State. I’m looking forward to what this new year will behold,” Egbuka announced in an Instagram post on Thursday morning that featured a quality-sized “I’M BACK” right in the middle.

I can’t help but think that maybe NIL had something to do with this, but at the same time, Ohio State has shown on multiple occasions that they’re cheap … so maybe he legitimately wants to shoot up his draft stock?

Who knows, but me personally, I would’ve left. Ohio State isn’t winning the natty next year, nor do I see them in the College Football Playoff with how the landscape is shifting, and on top of that, I’m not getting the right money because the Buckeyes don’t like to pay.

Yeah, I woulda dipped, which is why this whole thing is a bit of a shocker.
