Ahh … you gotta love rivalry hockey.

And postseason hockey at that, which is right around the corner. As a result, the tension is T-H-I-C-K as all get out in the NHL right now, and this is especially true when you consider the fact that there are still a good number of franchises scratching and clawing for a spot in the dance prior to the first-round kicking off Saturday.

One of the teams in the mix to potentially make the playoffs is the Philadelphia Flyers, who played the New Jersey Devils this past Saturday in a home contest at Wells Fargo Center. (RELATED: Lionel Messi’s Bodyguard Goes Into Full-Effect After Fan Runs Up On Soccer Legend)

Fortunately for the Flyers, they landed a 1-0 victory and are currently sitting in the second wild card spot tied with both the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference.

Well, in the stands, it’s obvious that the game was just as important for Flyers fans, who were tossing punches with Devils fans. And though everybody looked idiotic in this video, Philly fans weren’t to be played around with in the middle of a postseason race, with one Devils fan getting clobbered with punch after punch before ultimately being thrown down several rows of seats.

Oh yeah, this bad boy was a little chaotic … and like most fights, it’s not known how this thing got sparked up.

Like I said, both sets of fans look foolish here … but I hope Devils fans think again before just coming into Philly and getting into fights.
