Cha-ching! Jaylen got the bag and the Phins locked him up!
The Miami Dolphins and their superstar wide receiver Jaylen Waddle have agreed on a mammoth three-year, $84.75 million contract extension that features $76 million in guaranteed money, according to a Thursday report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. The new deal, which runs through 2028, makes Waddle one of the NFL’s highest-paid wide receivers — top five, to be exact. With his $76 million guaranteed, it’s the third-largest amount for a WR, coming behind No. 1 A.J. Brown ($84 million) and No. 2 Amon-Ra St. Brown ($77 million). Both of those deals took place during the offseason.
In 2023, Waddle put up his third straight 1,000-yard season, which set a record for the Dolphins franchise. Waddle also has the team record for the most yards in the first three seasons of a career, tallying 3,385 yards and 18 touchdowns. Those numbers came off 251 receptions in 47 games. The 25-year-old also owns the Dolphins rookie records for receiving yards (1,015) and receptions (104).
This just in: Miami and WR Jaylen Waddle reached agreement today on a three-year, $84.75 million contract extension that includes $76 million guaranteed, per sources. The deal makes Waddle one of the league’s top five highest-paid receivers.

I’m happy to see Jaylen get his money, but my real concern as a Dolphins fan is the contract situation with our quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
