A video from Friday shows David Duke, the former grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan (KKK) and self-proclaimed white supremacist, backing anti-Israel protestors in Detroit, Michigan.

The clip from political news and commentary journalist Cam Higby surfaced during a protest the cancellation of an event. The cancelled event was to be held by white nationalist Nick Fuentes’ America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC), according to the Detroit Free Press.

“I support Nick and his work, and all the people who are here, and all the people who are working to save our country, and save us from Jewish supremacism. Jewish genocide, because we are being genocided just like the Palestinians. It’s just a different form of it,” Duke said in the video. Higby also asked Duke if he was a friend of Fuentes’.

“I consider him a comrade in the fight for our people, and I’m very appreciative of his work,” Duke said in the video.

Nick Fuentes alleged online that AFPAC had “finished setting up” for the event when the venue decided to remove them.

Fuentes and others were set to speak Friday at Detroit’s Russel Industrial Center but the center told the Detroit Free Press the booking was made under false pretenses.

“The event was canceled due to fraudulent, knowing misrepresentation of the true nature of the event by the production company for their client, and our concern of safety for our facility, employees, tenants, and the surrounding communities,” the Russel Industrial Center told the Detroit Free Press. “The amount of hate mail we’ve been receiving and terrible things being said towards us by the AFPAC following is disturbing and only affirms our decision as the right one.”
