Will They Say Her Name?

The rape and murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston, Texas, allegedly by two illegal immigrants, quickly captured the sympathies of Americans nationwide as yet another tragic example of President Joe Biden and his administration’s border policies in full effect.

However, because the story is directly related to Biden’s open border, it likely won’t be mentioned during tonight’s first presidential debate between Biden and former President Donald Trump. CNN hosts Jake Taper and Dana Bash hardly hide their disgust for Trump, and polling already shows that American voters are well aware of their bias.

It’s a sad reality that the horrific rape and killing of a little girl by two illegal immigrants who took advantage of Biden’s open border policies will likely be ignored at a presidential debate. If Tapper and Bash had any integrity at all, it would be one of the first questions Biden fields tonight. Biden should have to answer for not just little Jocelyn’s rape and murder but also Rachel Morin, Mollie Tibbetts, Lizbeth Medina, Kate Steinle, Sarah Root, Laken Riley and many more.

Trump has the perfect opportunity to pressure Biden into conceding his responsibility for terror, and he shouldn’t waste it.

CNN’s debate will not have a live audience, which means Trump will be the only person in the room who can push Biden on the topic. Republicans have successfully bullied Biden into acknowledging tragedies caused by his policies in the past. At Biden’s recent SOTU address, Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene interrupted his speech, demanding he say Laken Riley’s name. Biden not only said her name (albeit he fumbled it calling her Lincoln), but he admitted that Riley was killed by “an illegal.”

Although it’s objectively true that Biden’s policies are killing American citizens, that’s not how elite media stooges (which is precisely what Tapper and Bash are) view these stories. Each tragedy is just another chance for “Republicans to pounce” on Biden rather than an example of how his policies are failing the country. After Super Tuesday in March, an MSNBC panel made up of Rachel Maddow, former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki, and others laughed at Americans’ concerns over illegal immigration.

“I mean, if you look at some of these exit polls. I mean, I live in Virginia. Immigration was the number one issue. I mean, again, this could change,” Psaki said.

“Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia,” Maddow said as other panelists erupted with laughter. “Build the wall.”

The New York Times recently ran a piece, “Killing of Texas Girl Becomes a New Immigration Flashpoint,” which opened by saying, “The killing of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston has become the latest crime seized on by Republicans to attack President Biden over his immigration policies.”

Instead of the NYT’s being honest about how Biden’s choice to have an open border affected the safety of Jocelyn and many more, the focus was on how Republicans are using this as a political campaign talking point. Elite media is made up of sick people who have forgotten the reason for the press and, even more importantly, forgotten that human dignity and safety were once a major part of the fabric of America.

So don’t be shocked when it’s Trump who has to bring up the border-related crimes and not Tapper and Bash. There is no way they would want to make Trump look good on national television at the expense of Biden. Their hatred for Trump outweighs their concern for the rapes and deaths occurring because of Biden.

They should say her name and force Biden to answer for these crimes. But I’m not holding my breath.
